Pam's Courageous Fight Against Cancer: Help Us Support Her Journey

On the morning of Thursday 25th September, our beautiful Pamela passed away peacefully, with loving family by her side. We are devastated. Pam was pure light and joy. She continued to find hope and laughter in everything, and gave to others selflessly and endlessly. Pam was, and will always be, simply wonderful. We will love you eternally, Pam.

Hi beautiful village, Kara here. I'm writing on behalf of Sam. Pam's cancer has progressed to a stage where she is now in palliative care. The oncology and palliative care staff are wonderful, and are supporting Pam to be as comfortable as possible. Pam's parents are on their way from Chile, and two sisters are also on their way from Chile and Spain. Pam's sister, Lore, has thankfully been here for a few weeks. Pam has fought the most courageous fight. We will be by her side, loving her endlessly.

To our wonderful community... we are asking for your help again. Despite months of treatment and some incredible positive outcomes, Pam's cancer has progressed. The family are now committing themselves to her care and fighting this as best we can.

We've already been blessed with your support to bring Pam's parents and two of her sisters to Australia throughout the initial stages of her treatment. But with the recent changes, we need your help again to bring her family from Chile and Spain back to Adelaide. We also need help supporting Pam, Sam and Matilda with the day-to-day aspects of living with cancer.

Pam's story is below...

After three courageous years in remission, Pam is facing the fight of her life once more. Diagnosed with stage three triple-negative breast cancer in 2021, she fought valiantly through a year of treatment and emerged with strength, living joyfully and cautiously aware of her health. However, in February this year (2025), a sudden, intense pain revealed the heartbreaking news: her cancer has returned, now at stage 4 with metastasis to her lungs, bones, and liver.

At just 41, Pam refuses to let this setback define her. She embodies resilience and hope, fighting for her life while cherishing every moment with her brave 8-year-old daughter Matilda and her devoted husband Sam. Pam’s unwavering spirit inspires everyone around her – she is a beacon of strength in this storm.

To support Pam on this daunting journey, we are raising funds to alleviate the burdens she faces.

Pam’s family lives in Chile and Spain, and during her previous battle with cancer, it took extraordinary effort to bring her mother to Australia for support. This time, she needs her loved ones by her side more than ever. Part of the funds raised will ensure her family can travel to Australia to be with her throughout her treatment and whatever challenges lie ahead.

Your generous contributions will also go towards essential items to help Pam stay comfortable and healthy during her treatment. From chemo-friendly clothing and skincare to organic food boxes and necessary medications, every donation makes a tangible difference in her daily life.

Moreover, the funds will support her husband, who takes time off work to care for Pam and Matilda. Every bit of assistance can lift the weight of this battle, allowing Pam to focus on what truly matters: her recovery and the love of her family.
