Thank you so SO much to everyone who has donated! This is beyond incredible and we will keep everyone updated on how y'all helped this family who are dear friends of mine. I am going to receive the funds to my bank and have my bank send the money to her bank. That way, she does not have to worry about anything. made this fundraiser for a very good friend of mine, Lily. She was almost 9 months pregnant with her daughter at the time an Amazon registry was created for her. She had a conversation with a  mutual friend about her family members being nasty to her about being able to get what she needed for the new arrival all because of her stand for conservative values. Our friend posted her registry on their public personality Facebook page, Kait's Unsafe Space, on November 29th and within a day all of the items had been purchased which blew our minds! 

Or so we all thought.....

A few days ago, Lily decided to check in with Amazon because a bulk of the items (around 40) had not come in yet. Lily was told that these items were actually never purchased, but were reserved by the same person that went by "Christine". Christine (as well as someone by the name of "Ciarah" who reserved one breast pump) reserved around 40 of the highest priced items in the registry to prevent them from being purchased for Lily, her new baby and her toddler. The Amazon rep Lily spoke on the phone with was really disturbed that someone would do something like that to target Lily and her preborn daughter out of spite because of differing political opinions. Once I heard about it, I was livid on behalf of my friend. There is something in the works to figure out who this "Christine" is, but while that is happening Lily still needs the items that were never actually purchased for her. Because we all had believed everything on the registry had been purchased, Lily has already gotten rid of a couple of old things like the toddler bed to make room for the new items. The Amazon rep was kind enough to put all the items that were missing back on the registry for us and sent Lily an email to confirm that they indeed did speak that night. There is also a recording of the call that we have as well. 

I am linking the actual registry here just so people can have something to physically click on, but I am asking that the money be donated on here so as to avoid this happening all over again. I tallied the prices of the items on the registry and added about $20 to cover fees that this site takes out. Lily did have her baby already, and mother and daughter are both healthy and doing wonderful!

Please share and donate so we can get Lily and little Marigold the items they need and show whoever "Christine" and "Ciarah" are, that love and support override their disgusting actions.
