Fight with Kayden #17

Donation protected

As most of you have heard, our beloved Kayden Swensen has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on March 21st, 2023.

What started as persistent back pain, slowly turned into sleepless nights, and the back pain became excruciating, turning time at school with his friend agonizing, into being completely bedridden. Kayden was slowly losing that goofy smile and his boyish charm started fading.

One night, his pain level reached an all-time high and ended up in the Emergency Room at Providence Hospital for the second time within a week. This time was different, he was told he would have to stay for additional testing and that's when things changed for the Swensen's forever. A few long nights in the Pediatric Unit quickly turned into their home for foreseen future.

Kayden is the firstborn of Kyale and Kelsey Swensen. Kayden turned 14 years old in January and will be a Freshman in High School this coming Fall. Kayden is notoriously known in Anchorage for his unmatched passion for all things Hockey. Kayden excels academically and cares about his education. Outside of Hockey and School, Kayden loves to Golf and hang out with his devoted group of friends/teammates. From the beginning of this fight, Kayden has received an overwhelming amount of support which speaks volumes about the kid he is.

Our mission is to support Kyale and Kelsey and their family during this journey of recovery for Kayden. The funds we raise will go toward medical bills, medication, meals, and living expenses.

Kayden is scheduled to have his first many Chemotherapy sessions this Friday. This will not be an easy battle but we pray for strength and positivity throughout this journey.

As no one should have to fight alone, Kayden's fight is our fight. It takes a team and Kayden is so lucky to have you on his.

Thank you in advance for your donation and God Bless.
