As most of you know I am a single mom. I have been raising my beautiful and spunky daughter since giving birth. We resided in Knoxville, TN for the first 3 years of Maysun's life... in 2017 we decided to move to Maryland to be with Maysun's dad. He said he wanted to be a family...we packed up our lives and moved into an apartment with him. After 3 months of living together, he opted out of the family life with us...moving 2 hours away and not supporting us financially. Living in the city is hard on a kid and a single mom. We were in a small one-bedroom apartment and commuting 4 hours just for work and another 2 hours to meet her dad. These expenses became too much and so did the stress of being away from my family and friends. A couple of months ago, I informed Maysun's dad that we would be relocating to Bristol, VA so we can be surrounded by Maysuns numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and friends! On September 22nd we made the move back home! The following week, Maysun's dad asked to have Maysun for a visit... I made sure to let him see her even though it was not his weekend. He was to return her to me on Sunday, October 14th. He did not return her and would not allow me to see my own child. He has filed for SOLE custody of my daughter! This has caused me to hire a lawyer in Maryland to represent myself and Maysun. As a single mom I do not have this kind of extra funds. I am asking that if you feel in your heart to give even a small amount to my cause and help me pay my lawyer so I can ensure I will be able to keep my daughter! Please do!
