Support William's Fight for Justice & Advocacy

Story: Hi everyone, I’m William Palmer, facing a difficult situation. I’m a passionate advocate for human rights and system impacted youth offenders. Recently, I was falsely accused of domestic violence, which led to defending myself in court while being held in jail without bail. Because I was on parole, I was treated as guilty, maintaining while I proved my innocence. My reputation has been smeared in the media without any evidence resulting in the charges being dropped.

For context, I successfully litigated my youth offender parole case, securing freedom from prison. My landmark case changed sentencing laws for youth offenders and others, leading to the release of over 1,200 individuals. Since returning to the community, I have passionately advocated for San Francisco jail reforms, served on the sheriff oversight board, and played a vital role in various youth-focus initiatives. As the Executive Director of Life After Next, a reentry program, I’m a leader fighting against recidivism.

I lost my job and racked up $10,000 in debt. Despite the challenges, my community is determined to clear my name and keep me fighting for those who need it most.

I’m back on the radio at KPOO hosting the Uplift show on Tuesdays 12-4pm giving transformative justice commentary and interviewing artists to politicians.

I returned to and fulfilled my Board seat on the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department Oversight Board. However, unemployment, fees and living expenses are putting a strain on my ability to continue this important work.

Goal: Our goal is to raise $10,000 to cover financial fees, living expenses, and any unexpected costs associated with clearing my name completely. This will allow me to focus on fighting to pick up the pieces of my life, and get back to advocating for the formerly incarcerated, at-risk youth and safe law enforcement in our community.

Impact: Your contribution will not only help me get back on my feet, but it will also ensure that vulnerable individuals continue to have a voice and a chance to rebuild their lives.

Gratitude: Thank you for your time, consideration, and any support you can offer. Even a small donation will make a huge difference.

Updates: I'll be providing regular updates on how the funds are being used, the progress of my case and my overall successful reentry.
