Fight Back! Support Trans Health in the US!

Right now, access to gender-affirming healthcare in the US is more in peril than ever. From executive orders to legislative bills to departmental directives, the Trump Administration has been targeting trans people’s access to gender-affirming care—literally from day one.
This unprecedented attack on trans people is the escalation of a country-wide crisis. It’s a crisis that’s already seen trans rights erode rapidly in the last few years. From 2021 to 2024, 182 federal and state anti-trans bills were passed. In 2024 alone, governments across the country considered a staggering 701 bills. Of these, 189 bills sought to prohibit gender-affirming care.(1)
In response, trans people and cis supporters have continued to mobilize, as we always have.

And among the groups that have formed after last year’s federal election is a collective that spans activists in Canada and the US.
Who We Are and How We Can Help
We’re a collective that’s begun providing material support for the healthcare needs of trans people in the US. In the days after the federal election result, our collective formed, tapping into our existing personal and mutual aid networks and setting up a growing network of care.
We’re located in various Canadian provinces and US states. We’re trans people and cis accomplices. Many of us are trans people who transitioned over twenty years ago. We lived through earlier waves of restrictions on gender-affirming healthcare, including restrictions for young people. We’ve been there and we survived.
Our activist backgrounds span trans rights, queer rights, sex worker rights, immigrant rights, AIDS activism, Indigenous and anti-racist causes, houselessness, food justice, many combinations of these, and much more.
And with our wide-ranging contacts and community networks of care, we’re able to distribute material support directly to trans people in need.
What We’ll Do With Your Gift
We’re prioritizing gender-affirming treatment costs and associated travel and transportation costs.
Your support will fund these vital expenses to maintain and improve the health of trans people experiencing hardship. Helping to fulfil these concrete health needs will make an immediate difference. It'll also give the recipients a health buffer, in advance of future attacks on gender-affirming healthcare and other trans rights.
The proceeds for this fundraising campaign will be disbursed by non-profit The Sidewalk Project (TSP), which is the official beneficiary of this campaign. Based in LA, TSP is a lived-experience, women- and peer-led organization that aids unhoused, drug-using, survivor, and sex worker populations. TSP provides case management, including medical care and housing linkages, and system navigation services.
We’ll work with TSP to ensure your gift benefits trans people around the country who have pressing gender-affirming healthcare needs (including trans participants in TSP’s programs).
“The Sidewalk Project made me feel like I’m beautiful when I’m feeling tore up. My health hasn't been good. When I’m sick Jen shows up with eyelashes and lipstick and hugs me close like she don’t care I have hiv. I’m not used to that.”

Give Now
“We are obviously living in a situation that is catastrophic for transgender people … with actions from the Trump administration almost every day targeting our community.”(2)
— Chase Strangio, co-director, American Civil Liberties Union’s LGBTQ & HIV Project
Right from Day 1, the Trump administration has been using its many governmental levers to drive its anti-trans agenda. With access to gender-affirming healthcare under attack like never before, we don’t have a moment to waste—and we need you with us.
Whatever the amount, your gift will make an impact. Please give the gift of your solidarity now.
