We are Phi Delta Theta Fraternity of the University of Puget Sound. We work in partnership with the Live Like Lou Foundation to raise money and support local Tacoma families who have loved ones battling the muscle degenerative disease ALS. We are asking for support in fundraising for the Live Like Lou Foundation during this semester. Lou Gehrig was a seven-time all-star first baseman whose influence on the game of baseball lives on today. His career, consisting of being an all-star player, triple crown winner, and a two-time American League most valuable player, was cut short after the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) forced him to retire. This disease still impacts tens of thousands of people in the US and is a terminal diagnosis.
