While we praise God that Owen was officially cleared of cancer, his journey back to good health is not over. We are asking for some help for a family who has stuck together through some of life’s hardest battles yet has never given up!

Owen will now have to undergo surgery to remove the mass from his abdomen, that is the size of a volleyball, on the 16th of July. While doing so, he will undergo a bowel resection and there may be a need to remove part of one of his kidneys. In order to do this, they will need to cut off the blood supply to the tumor which will be done on July 15th.This process and the surgery will keep him in the hospital 7-10 days.

While Casey will have accommodations from the 15th through the 17th, for about 8 days afterwards she will be traveling both morning and night between home and the hospital to be by his side which is a 3 hour drive both ways. She will be receiving some unemployment from her paraprofessional job, and Owen will receive short term disability that begins at 75%, but will then drop to 60% while he is off work for 8-12 weeks.

God willing Owen will be back on his feet in the timeframe that is given above! We know there are other circumstances that can arise so we ask that if you feel led, let us provide financial provisions for this extremely dedicated and hard working and even harder loving family!
