My 3 year old niece Poppy has been in an induced coma for the past 12 days in Townsville due to being misdiagnosed initially with gastro and sent home, when infact she had pneumonia and parainfluenza in both lungs. As a result, her condition deteriorated significantly.
My sister and her partner are 4 hours from home and blessed to have support from Ronald McDonald House or else they could not be so close to Poppy with her 5 and 1 year old sisters.
They never ask for help...but bills don't stop when kids are sick and my brother in law is using up all his leave quickly so I am creating this for anyone that would like to help them, if you can.
