My name is Alden. I will be competing in a HYROX Solo Competition to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support! The competition is on May 31 in Cardiff, Wales, UK.
What does MacMillan Cancer Support do?
Macmillan Cancer Support provides comprehensive support to individuals affected by cancer and their families, covering emotional, practical, and financial needs. They offer services like expert cancer advice, information resources, and a variety of workshops and events.
Check this link to find out more info.
What this means to me?
I would like to dedicate this to my grandmother, Juanita Delatorre (affectionately known as "Nanay") who passed away from cancer. I will always remember the happy sleepovers at Nanay's House and falling asleep on her shoulder at church. Her memory and your support are also just that extra motivation to give it my all at this event!
What is HYROX?
Check this link to find out more info.
HYROX combines both running & functional workout stations, where participants run 1km, followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times. Workout stations include.

Please note that the charity is based in the UK.
I receive the donations directly and will convert to GBP. This is to avoid as much currency and bank fees as possible. We would all prefer for as much of the money to go directly to the charity.
This also means this will not be eligible for tax deductions.
