Hello,
My name is Jorja Peyton, and I am the president of my school's HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) club.
If you’re not familiar with HOSA, we’re a club that focuses on health sciences. We volunteer, compete, and give back to our community through service and leadership.
I joined HOSA last year and had an amazing experience attending meetings and participating in the state conference at the Portland Convention Center. This year, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to lead FGHS’s HOSA chapter as president.
Unfortunately, I recently found out that our original advisor decided to cut the club and replace it with a different one—without telling me. I was devastated. All the effort we put in—fundraising, recruiting members, and preparing for this year’s state competition in March—was about to be lost.
But we didn’t give up. We found a new advisor, gained even more members, and are continuing to prepare for the state competition in Portland this March. The only problem now is funding. Our former advisor left us with no money at all.
Last year, every member of our club was able to attend the competition free of charge, which was so important—because no student should have to miss out on an opportunity like this due to money.
We would be so grateful for any support you can give.
Thank you for your time and generosity!
All donors will receive pictures and updates from the event if we raise enough funds to attend!
