Fairfax County Board of Supervisors passed egregious regulations governing Short Term Rentals on July 31, 2018. Far overstepping what they were instructed to do by the General Assembly they have actually removed property rights. We are raising funds for the Class Action Lawsuit against Fairfax County to reverse the regulations and restore our property rights to rent our homes as the state law permits, unrestricted 365 days no matter the duration.
We represent and protect the property rights of 1.5 million residents of Fairfax County, and this also extends to any one in the state of Virginia and even hosts around the country. Fairfax County is one of the largest counties in the nation and all hosting platforms are watching us to see what happens. We know our rights, and we know that they have taken them. Please donate to protect the rights of homeowners to use their property as they see fit, and help us demonstrate that Fairfax County Board of Supervisors do not get to do whatever they please. It is our right to rent our homes on platforms like AirBnB and VRBO as we see fit, and they do not get to remove those rights or otherwise restrict them.
We are a non profit, tax exempt organization 501-3-C-4
We would indeed be very grateful for any donations to help us protect our rights that Fairfax County is trying to remove. Your contribution will assist in restoring rights of widows, elderly, women, children and families making ends meet and paying for critical expenses like medical treatments and other bills. We know everyone around the country is watching what Fairfax County is doing, and us too. Citizens 4 STR is dedicated to protecting our rights in Fairfax County and this is going to be a case that impacts the rest of the country, so helping us win helps many!
All donations go to our legal counsel to fund the lawsuit that has been filed against the Board of Supervisors of Fairfax County challenging the County’s new law.
