FFCHS 50th Multi-Class Reunion Supports Gold Star Mothers!

Classes of the 1970's at Fountain-Ft Carson HS (Trojans!) : we are sponsoring (i.e. paying for) a multi-class 50th reunion on Sept 7, 2024 (our class of 1974 is the baseline class) at Ventucci Farms -- 5210 Highway 85 -- Colorado Springs from 4:30 to midnight.

So far, we have almost 100 RSVP's ( including faculty Mary Lou Lindfelt, Syd (Gleukert) Seaman and "Miss Fred" ... Mr Seaman, as well ... sorry but not bringing back your first name) and hoping that number goes up in the next 45+ days. So, please spread the word and share this link with others!

Going to be a great time together ... and maybe the last reunion for us?

We have Colorado Springs renowned "DJ" James Brown, who will be spinning the tunes for us, in partnership with Eric Taylor -- my old wrestling teammate -- who is a professional singer and will treat us to solo performance! Patsy (Ramos) Hicks will be donating some fun gambling tables (Roulette, Craps and Blackjack) from her company, "Deuces Wild!! Casino Rentals" to round out the entertainment. Get Ready!

Food (BBQ buffet) and beer/wine and hopefully a "cash bar" (got to check out the regulations on this w the "Farm") will also be provided. Use Uber folks ... as transportation not provided!

This venue looks pretty awesome, though I have yet to see it, as we live far away in the great state of Florida. But check out @ https://www.venetuccifarm.org ... PS, the weather on Sept 7th should be ideal! (and if not, there is plenty of inside space.)

As there will be no price for joining us for the reunion and/or admission, we are using this GoFundMe site to raise money for a very worthy charitable cause from/by our collective classes to give back something to our community.

As many of us were from military families, it seems very appropriate to support "Gold Star Mothers of Colorado", in honor of our friends, classmates and other CO men and women who served in the military ... and some ... who gave all for their country ... and for the unique freedoms Americans enjoy because of such people who are willing to serve! Thank God for them all ... past, present and future.

The $5000 goal seems very attainable and is tax deductible to all donors, as well.

We ask that you donate what you can give, but suggest $50/person in lieu of buying a reunion admission ticket. Of course, you can give more ... even if you can not or do not attend.

Either way, you will be with us in this 50th reunion, in body or in spirit. I think we will offer the opportunity to donate at the entry as well, to buy gambling "money" and/or tips for the Venetucci team and food/alcohol service providers.
