Fethard RNLI 12 Swims of Christmas

We are local sea swimmers who venture into the sea all year round, secure in the knowledge that Fethard RNLI Lifeboat Station is always on call if needed.  We each have a story to tell of how we have benefited so much from being in the water.   For quite a few, this is the first year of swimming through the winter, so we decided to set ourselves a goal to keep us motivated.

 

We plan to do the 12 Swims of Christmas through the month of December. Weather depending, we hope to swim on Christmas Day and finish up our 12 Swims on New Years Day on Baginbun Beach.   We will share our progress on social media with lots of photos etc using #hookedonswimming #fethardrnli12swims

 

We have decided to raise funds along the way for our local RNLI Fethard on Sea Lifeboat Station. We want to acknowledge the amazing work, time and dedication of all these local volunteers by helping with their fund raising efforts.
