Fertility Treatment , IVF for Ashleigh and John

Donation protected

I am with a heavy heart asking for any small donation you can give to help to cover my cousin and her partners very expensive IVF treatment which sadly cannot be covered by the NHS. Ashleigh and John have dreamt of a big family and now would be happy and blessed to even have one child of their own.

My name is Jade and I am setting up this go fund me page to benefit my cousin Ashleigh and her partner John during their current crisis. Ashleigh is 30 years of age, and from a young age has had issues with her menstrual cycles, and has spent the last 8 years with the help of her partner John to try and get answers from medical professionals. August 2019 Ashleigh was referred to gynaecology when they started investigating her reproductive system, they ran a laparoscopy test and unfortunately discovered that Ashleigh has Endometriosis.

Endometriosis is a long-term condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows in other places, such as ovaries and fallopian tubes. It’s a painful condition which causes severe pain during menstrual cycles and can also lead to infertility.

February 2020 Ashleigh and John received the devastating news that they wouldn’t be able to naturally conceive.

During February Ashleigh used stimulation drugs to assist her body to produce eggs, Ashleigh successfully made 1 egg, however, this egg fragmented and was unsuccessful.

August 2020, Ashleigh was given a second chance using stimulation drugs again, however, on the 7th of September 2020, the care fertility team sadly discovered that Ashleigh hadn’t responded to the drugs.

Ashleigh and John have received news from the consultant that their only chance of being parents would be if Ashleigh was to use a Donated egg, However, the NHS are unable to fund this. £6150 of the £7000 is the price of eggs without the procedure.

Why is this urgent?

Low AMH is related specifically to Diminishing Ovarian Reserve. This essentially means that Ashleigh is running out of time.  Unfortunately due to Covid-19, they have experienced a huge delay and excruciating stress over this diagnosis and how to raise funds quickly.

Ashleigh and John have been in a stable relationship for 8 years, engaged for 4 years, and have their own home together, but are missing the final part of their chapter.

Ashleigh has worked looking after children for 13 years and would do anything to be a mum, and John would love nothing more than to have a family with her.

Ashleigh would dream for nothing more than to conceive naturally. But there's no chance of this happing. they have been told that it won't happen naturally and that IVF & ICSI is their only choice.

Thank you, Jade.
