This Go Fund me is for my sister Fern Carpenter (nee Brethour) and her husband Barry Carpenter whom have experienced not one but two serve medical issues over the last year that have left them struggling to cover everyday expenses. Fern underwent a quadruple heart bypass surgery in Sept 2023, that left her off work more than 6 months, as she was recovering and about to return to full time employment, Barry was diagnosed with liver cancer, which then quickly spread to his bones. It has been confirmed Barry suffers from terminal liver & bone cancer. As a result of the diagnosis Barry requires constant care which prevents Fern from returning to work. With a limited income they struggle to afford everyday necessities and medical expenses for Barry. For those of you who know Fern well she would give you the shirt off her back and her last dollar if you asked for it. She is the first to offer help and the last to leave. She never asks for anything in return. To assist them during this difficult time, we are asking for your support and donations to return the favours Fern has bestowed on us over the years.
