Fenyx Howes was born April 3, 2021 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, weighing in at just under 2lbs. He arrived 10 weeks early and fighting! The journey ahead for Fenyx will be challenging, but he's a fighter as he is proving this everyday. Mount Sinai NICU will be his home for the next few months where he will be monitored by some of the best doctors and nurse in Canada.
Fenyx's parents are by his side every step of the way, and are providing for this beautiful boy with love and support , however the difficulties of accommodation and everyday necessities are proving challenging given they live outside of Toronto and will need to be at the hospital daily.
Fenyx is my first grandchild and I am so excited to hold him and love him, and be the best nana to him. I'm starting this GoFundMe campaign to help with the everyday expenses these proud new parents are experiencing. To know me you'll quickly understand that this initiative is coming from my heart and I just want to see my grandson have a fair chance to fight without all the external financial challenges that will accompany this new beginning.
