My name is Luanne Helms. I am the mother of the famous #Otownjake. Jake is my 25-year-old son, who lives with Autism & Epilepsy. Jake is non-verbal.

He does not understand or sense danger.

We live on a fairly busy road. Jake has begun exhibiting “eloping” - wandering away from our yard. I’ve gotten phone calls from passing friends, letting me know he was NOT in our yard. We have put up cameras and have caught him going to the road.

Jake has his 26th birthday coming up on June 4, and we are fundraising to provide him a fence along the front of our home. This is essential for his safety, enjoyment, and our family's peace of mind. Any funds over what we need to build a suitable fence will go towards other security measures for his home.
