Hey friends, our family has a practical need for foster care that we would like to share.

In the past 4 1/2 years we have had a few children placed with that have had developmental delays and diagnoses or past trauma that requires a higher level of supervision at all times, especially outside.

There have been times where keeping everyone safe outside has been more stressful than it should be. Kids who wander, don’t recognize boundaries, or act on impulse need a space where they can play freely without our constant fear of them getting into unsafe situations.

In this season in particular - proper fencing around our backyard has become a necessity for safety. It would give the kids a safe, contained space to be kids—to run, play, and just breathe—while also giving us peace of mind as parents. To keep costs as low as possible, we plan to install the fence ourselves and are only asking for help covering the materials.

This wasn’t an expense we planned for, but it’s become clear that it’s something that would provide safety for all the kids in the home.
