Helping To Feed The Homeless This Winter

My name is Steve and  I am a chef by trade. Like most people my livliehood has been affected this year by Covid. I have been laid off of my job in the hospitality industry since March. However, I am still fortunate enough to have a roof over my head and food to eat everyday. This is not the case for a large number of people who have lost their jobs due to the government lockdowns. As you walk around this winter in Toronto, you might have noticed the growing number of homeless encampments. I have a lot of extra time on my hands due to my lay-off and have been putting my chef skills to use making soups and dispersing to homeless, less fortunate or anyone who is in need of a warm meal. I am starting this gofund me to help me with the costs associated with this. (The disposable goods, ingredients, etc) I have also started collecting hats gloves scarves, jackets, blankets, socks and other items to hand out along with the soups. I would like to continue this as often as I can this winter season and any help would be greatly appreciated. If there is any money leftover it will be donated to a local shelter or will go to buy food for a local food bank. Thanks in advance!
