What Your Support Makes Possible

Every week from July to October, our 18 agency sites serve nearly 2,000 people including seniors, children, low-income families, refugees, and people recovering from trauma or homelessness.

In 2025, Farms for Life (FFL) provided more than $50,000 worth of fresh produce from 10 local farms to our partner agencies. That produce became nutritious meals for people who often can’t afford fresh, healthy food on their own.

With 94% of every donation going directly to participants, FFL ensures your gift works immediately: reducing food waste, supporting small farms, and feeding families who need help today.

How It Works

1. Your donation goes to a pool for our community groups (agencies)

2. Our partner farms list the extra produce that they were unable to sell

3. With your donation, our agencies buy this fresh produce from one of the farms (online)

4. The farm sends it to our packaging team, we sort the order, and deliver it to the agency

5. The agency prepares it in a delicious meal for those they serve

Why We Need Your Help Now

The 2024 WA Food Security Report shows that 55 percent of Washington households experienced food insecurity in late 2024. The need for fresh, healthy food is growing faster than ever. In 2024 alone, Washington recorded 13.4 million food pantry visits, a 70 percent increase since 2021 (Source).

Who We Are

Farms for Life (FFL) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We purchase surplus produce from local Washington farms and deliver it directly to people facing food insecurity, through partnered agencies. Since 2009, we’ve made sure good produce never goes to waste and instead nourishes the most vulnerable members of our communities.
