I'm Mayella Valencia, and I started Feeding Nicaragua in 2007 with a simple yet profound goal: to provide sustenance and hope to children and families living in unimaginable conditions in my hometown of Matagalpa, Nicaragua.

Every year, we strive to make a difference by distributing food packages that last up to two weeks or more, along with basic utilities and toys for the little ones. However, this year, we need your help more than ever before.

This year, I will be traveling to Nicaragua from April 13 - 26 to provide these donations. We want to provide more than 300 meals to those living in plastic and wooden homes.

Our process begins with visiting the sites, assessing the needs firsthand, and then gathering volunteers to create the bags of essentials. Through our efforts, we have been able to reach up to 250 families, but there are so many more in need.

Your donation, no matter how small, can make a significant impact. It can mean a meal for a hungry child or a glimmer of hope for a struggling family.

For the past 2 years, I have been working at 5 Points Electrical and this year, they will partner with me to sponsor my trip and match every donation. Together, we can make a difference.
