Feeding Dreams Slum Rice Drop

In June, our group of volunteers travelled to Cambodia to give education to under privileged and malnourished children.

What we observed outside of the classroom was beyond anything any of us could have anticipated.

Children as young as three grabbed leftovers from our plates as we ate, school age children were obliviously rummaging through bins and eating what they found. The workforce, even beyond midnight, consists of toddlers and young children selling handmade fans and bracelets just to afford a family meal that day.

Many go days without a meal and it struck us how weak and famished many of them looked.

It had recently come to our attention that there are sixty families living in a slum close to our accommodation who are in urgent and desperate need for basic nutrients to survive. It is our intention to visit those families on Friday 15th of July to deliver enough rice, fish and nutrients to last up to a week for each of the sixty families.

We kindly ask that you consider our request as much as you are able to. We need £400 raised by Thursday at 12 am midnight for us to be able to reach the families with our aid it is vital we reach this target in order to help the families that are in desperate need.
