I wasn’t going to, but it’s time. Long post ahead.

I’ve dreaded making this post. I don’t want to deal with negative comments or messages, but I’m struggling and it’s effecting Adeline. If I’ve ever donated to you or supported a fundraiser, please consider sending even $1. It will add up!

I’ve been in Children’s Hospital for nearly 2 weeks now, I’m breastfeeding (pumping right now for her NG feeding tube), and we are currently out of extra funds for me to buy myself food with. My supply has absolutely tanked due to me not providing my body with enough nutrition and our PICU does not and cannot get donor breast milk so I’m left no option than to ask for help. I’m pumping 1.5 oz in 2 hours. That’s not enough to support Adeline’s nutritional needs and she cannot tolerate formula. It’s very important that Adeline does not throw up, if she throws up because we have been forced to give her formula, she will be going back to have surgery to place a J-tube. Her throwing up will cause aspiration and it’ll be detrimental to her. She already has pneumonia. I don’t want my newborn going under general anesthesia to have a feeding tube placed into her intestines bc my body has failed her.

Each meal costs $8-$10 here. I get unlimited water and apple juice so that’s taken care of. I’m currently surviving on a few granola bars, graham crackers, and pudding cups, whenever the Ronald McDonald house has them. This place is absolutely slammed and every time stuff is stocked it’s being snatched up. I can only leave every so often because Addie is so irritable and needs a lot of attention right now so it’s hard to even catch 2/3 granola bars at a time.

If anyone that I know and can trust personally has any frozen breast milk they’d like to give us, I can take that as well! We can figure out a way to get it up here.
