If we exceed our goals, I will add a second round to include additional departments.

 

In the Fall of 2018, while speaking with my wife regarding our Thanksgiving Dinner plans, it occurred to us that many of our local police officers will not have a Thanksgiving Dinner. They will be at the station and on the road helping to keep our communities safe. This did not sit well with us.

 

Shortly thereafter I met with leadership in the Oak Park and Southfield departments and, with the help of several other families, arranged to provide full Thanksgiving Dinners delivered to the stations on Thanksgiving afternoon.

 

Initially, budget has limited this to Oak Park and Southfield. Last year, with your help, we expanded the program to include Berkley, Lathrup Village and Huntington Woods.
