Miguel Elias and Seth Meriwether here. We're two local pilots at Lakefront Airport and we've seen first hand how this federal government shutdown is affecting people in our community.

When the government shuts down, the people who keep our nation running are often left without a paycheck — even as they continue to serve. These are our neighbors, friends, and family members working behind the scenes every day as air traffic controllers, TSA officers, Coast Guard members, park rangers, customs agents, and countless others who make our communities safe and functional.

Here in New Orleans, we’ve seen firsthand how shutdowns hit home. Federal employees continue showing up for work without pay while trying to cover rent, groceries, and family needs. That’s why we’re stepping in to help.

Feeding Federal Workers is a community-driven effort to provide hot meals, grocery cards, and essential support to local federal employees affected by the shutdown. 100% of donations go directly toward food and assistance for those in need.
