Feed Our 1st Responders

In the last month our world changed and many of us are now working remotely to keep safe. For our 1st Responders, they are putting themselves in harms’ way every day to keep our communities safe and helping others who are less fortunate!
As a company, AspireHR believes in the importance of being purpose-driven while giving back to others less fortunate in our local communities. Our employees are passionate about giving back in ways that are meaningful to each of them.
In these troubling times, many of us are asking “what can we do to help?”
Among the many great ideas, we selected to focus on two short-term missions given the healthcare and economic crisis currently underway. First, we want to show support locally to our 1st Responders in cities that have been hit hardest and second, we want to support local restaurants who are struggling economically. This program has been designed by AspireHR’s employees and is an employee-led initiative in their free time because we all want to help in whatever way possible.
Our Guidelines:
AspireHR has decided to match all donations made on this GoFundMe site (dollar for dollar) up to a total of $10,000. That means when we could potentially raise $10,000 from individual contributions and AspireHR will match with another $10,000 for a total of $20,000 raised!
All money raised will be used to provide meals for 1st Responders, police and fire station EMT’s, in some of the areas that have been hit the hardest by this pandemic. We are focusing our efforts in the following cities and are in the process of contacting local fire houses and police stations:
· New York City, NY metro area
· Dallas, TX metro area
· New Orleans, LA
· Chicago, IL metro area
· San Francisco Bay, CA area
While we recognize the need is great everywhere, these specific regions were chosen due to the devastating impact on their local communities. The Dallas, TX area is our corporate headquarters and we want to contribute to our local community while the other four cities were all hit in different, but very impactful ways.
What will we do with the funds raised? We will select local fire houses and police stations in these regions that are in highest need and provide food from locally-owned restaurants. We believe this serves the dual purpose of serving meals to First Responders at a time when food and a simple ‘Thank You’ goes a long way while also helping community businesses that are being impacted by COVID-19.
If you know of a police or fire EMT department that you would like to nominate, comment below to tell us the station name and location. When we exceed our initial fundraising goal, we will continue to include additional locations.
