By donating on this page you will be helping 6 year old Mario and his mom, Marcie to get back on their feet. They have escaped from an abusive home this past weekend. She is living on the street in fear for her and her sons life. I will be walking along side Marcie as she finds shelter for her and her son.  Til we can find housing for them both, I will getting them off the street and in an inexpensive safe hotel, buying Mario and mom some clean clothes, and giving food. I will not be giving Marcie any money directly but will give money on toward those services and items she needs to start a new life.  Thank you for your caring heart.

We were hoping to raise $300 today Sept 29th to pay for 2 nights stay in hotel til shelter is available, food, water, clothing for Mario (Who has none) and toiletries.

So grateful to everyone who have given.  All donations will go specifically toward provisions for Mario and his mom.  We will provide what is needed asking for guidance from those  running the programs she is now going to be receiving, guiding her on parenting skills, job finding and eventually her dream of independent living in a house.   Please keep Mario and mom in your prayers.

We can't save everyone on the street, but you can help these two.

Here's the story posted on my personal Facebook page, prompting me to help us have one LESS homeless person on the street.   The restaurant referenced here is Mannys California Fresh in Stockton, Ca.

FACEBOOK POST 9-28-19
My daughter and I stopped to have lunch here today. In the parking lot was a lady a sweet 6 year old boy. She had a stroller with a bunch of stuff on it obviously Homeless. She politely asked as I was walking in if I might be able get her little boy something to eat. Of course was happy to and told her I’d get her something to. I asked her what she wanted. She said she’d never eaten here and anything would be very much appreciated. I had my daughter walk her son in the the restaurant to help him choose and I walked in behind him with this lady. She pushed timidly her stroller in with all her life’s belongings and I was going to walk her to patio with it. We barely made it in the door when literally all 3 employees followed by the owner started yelling rudely at her to get out! Shouting! Like she was a thief or dangerous person. Aggressively! Running at her. I said I’m buying her lunch they ignored me and continued to tell her to get out. I was shocked and felt terrible. The lady immediately apologized and backed out head down. But the owner continued to harrass and tell her to get out when she was already leaving. He came over to the door and then stood there and told her don’t come in here again. I went to the door and he blocked the door so afraid this poor woman might come back in. She was about 4 ft 8. Frail. And had her tiny little boy with her. What was he thinking?!!! I wanted to cry. I got around him and walked up to her and asked if she would like a ham and cheese sandwich. She in tears said yes. The little boy (found out his name was Mario) was sitting quietly on bench inside by this time my daughter encouraging him. At this point another customer who was as horrified as I was by the entire staffs treatment of this woman came up to get his food asked the guy behind counter who had yelled at this lady to please don’t talk to people like that. The employee just gave him a dirty look. The owner said to the customer now “ don’t talk to my employee like that”. (Like what? With a heart?!! Omg. )Again extremely rude and not called for. This caused the customer to raise his voice and ask for someone higher up to talk to. His food was paid for and was getting handed to him at this point. The manager said “you need to leave” and intervened on the employee handing him his food. The guy said your not going to give me my food now? The manager walked way. The employee threw this customers credit card at him and said “we don’t want your business” . All this because a person going through a hard time and her little boy came inside to eat food I wanted to buy them. So I bought them a sandwich only because they were hungry or would not have spent a dime. While waiting for food to be made by rude employees my daughter hugged the little boy inside the restaurant on the bench while I went outside to be with mom staring in at window crying as she wanted to make sure her son was alright and sharing her story of abuse and hard times. My daughter held the little boys hand as she set his food him on the sidewalk outside outside! Ugh! I have never personally seen such outright In-humane unwarranted Demeaning horrible treatment of a mother and 6 year old child as the owner of this restaurant and his staff showed. My daughter and I went down the street to buy or own lunch. I will never give this restaurant my business again and will encourage others to follow in my footsteps. Don’t eat here ever.
