Help Local Friends & Families

While we await our return to normal, many of our neighbors are struggling to feed their families. These are families whose children are our children’s friends from school, who contribute to our Halloween carnival by making thousands of tamales, and who worry about the future of their children as much as we all do. Many of us are fortunate enough to buy groceries as needed while many other families depend on donations. 

“Our families work in industries that have been shut down by COVID-19,” said Manny Aguilar, president of La Colonia de Eden Gardens. “Their needs are urgent and can’t wait for workplaces to reopen or assistance to come from the government. We are fortunate enough to buy groceries as needed, and these families are very grateful for these healthy and familiar food donations to feed their families." 

Please help feed local families of Solana Beach by contributing what you can. We are trying to feed 60-70 families twice a month with essential groceries, like eggs, milk, fresh produce, tortilla, rice, and beans. Any amount helps!
