Hello. My name is Didi and I have been working freely for the underserved community of Sangkhla Buri for 25 years in education and animal service, broadly. Most of the people we help are immigrant and refugee children from Burma, many of them coming to our school from the children’s home in town. Our community also suffers from many street dogs and for the last 20 years Tonrak Foundation has spayed female dogs and cats to reduce the population of homeless and uncared for animals, and we have taken many of those animals into our care, providing food, shelter, and enrichment for them.
Every day we feed all of the children once for lunch as well as breakfast and a snack in the afternoon for those with food insecurity. Twice a day we feed more than 150 sanctuary animals, mostly dogs but we also have cats, turtles, monkeys, birds, rabbits, and guinea pigs.
The business from out animal clinic was a source of financial support for to feed us and our beneficiaries, but the business has suffered recently and that’s why we need help from outside our community.
Please donate to help us stay fed, to keep fuel in Okie proverbial tanks.
