Salam, from the Lifeline Foundation team. As you may know, we at Lifeline are dedicated to empowering and supporting the less fortunate in the places around the world that need it most. The Lifeline mission revolves around the core principle that everyone deserves access to the basic needs of life, i.e food, water, electricity and most importantly a shot a better future for them or their children.
Last Ramadan, driven by our connections in Karachi, Pakistan, we decided it was time to do something about the tough situations a lot of families there are facing. So, we started this journey to help out the neighborhoods hit hard by poverty. We were able to help 350 families and even threw a big Iftaar for 400 people at the end of Ramadan. It was awesome, and your support made all that happen!
Through word-of-mouth support within our circles, we raised $7000—an encouraging start that showed us the power of our community. This year, we're striving to build on our past success, aiming to help even more families find relief and hope during Ramadan.
Our Goal This Ramadan:
With hundreds of thousands of families in Karachi struggling to meet their basic needs, there's so much more we can do.
This year we're aiming HIGHER. We've partnered with a local supermarket in Karachi to assemble and distribute care packages, each costing 4200 Rupees ($20 CAD). Our weekly goal is to raise at least $500, enabling us to support at least 250 families every week of Ramadan.
Our goal is to feed over 500 families by making four distribution trips throughout the month, each trip delivering a months' worth of food supplies to those in need.
What are in the "care packages"?

How You Can Help:
Every penny you donate goes directly towards purchasing these care packages. Here's how you can make a difference:
$20 CAD feeds a family for a MONTH: Just a single donation can provide a month's worth of essential food items to a family of four. Which for us here in Canada is the equivalent of paying for an appetizer at a restaurant.
See Your Donations at Work:
Transparency is a big deal for us; we're all about being open and honest with how we use your donations. We plan to film and document each of our distribution trips, capturing the real stories, the smiles, and the difference your donations are making in the lives of families in Karachi.
