November, a group of local Charleston businesses are coming together to turn compassion into action. With food assistance programs like SNAP being cut back, more families are struggling to put food on the table and that’s something we can’t just scroll past.
Here’s the truth:
Over 41 million Americans about 1 in 8 people rely on SNAP benefits every single month. And those aren’t just statistics they’re our neighbors, our friends, and our community members.
I know firsthand how much programs like that can mean, because I’ve been there. I’ve relied on food stamps before. That experience taught me gratitude, empathy, and the power of helping others when you can.
So this month, we’re hosting a Community Food Drive collecting nonperishable food items and raising funds to help stock local pantries and support Charleston families facing food insecurity.
Every single dollar donated goes directly toward feeding people in our community no middlemen, no red tape. Just locals helping locals.
If you can give, please do. If you can’t, sharing this campaign makes just as big of an impact.
Because no one should ever have to wonder where their next meal is coming from and together, we can make sure they don’t.
With love and gratitude
