Tax deductible
For most, closing Powhatan schools for 2 weeks might mean an extra spring break. For 215 of our Powhatan students, it means they will struggle to have enough food to eat!
Backpacks of Love, Inc. has been supporting Powhatan students for many years on the weekends, but this situation unexpected and causes an immediate for these students!
Please join us in making a VERY quick difference? We are trying to supply an additional longer term backpack for our Powhatan students. Their last day in school is TODAY!
We will be packing bags at 11;00 am this morning and delivering to the schools before the end of the school day.
Please donate so these additional items can be purchased quickly. It costs $4 to fill a backpack for a weekend, so the cost for 21 days for 215 students is approximately $9030.00
If you are unable to donate financially but would like to donate food items, please bring them to 3035 Lower Hill Road Powhatan, VA 23139 by 10:00 am this morning 3/13/2020.
Items we need?
1. Peanut Butter is VITAL!
2. Child friendly foods; non-perishable, easy to open, and no preparations needed.
I'm raising money to benefit Backpacks Of Love Inc (Backpacks of Love, Inc), and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to our Powhatan Students!
