Feed 50 Families in Gaza.

My name is Susana De Leon, better known as Timoi. I am an artist and humanitarian based in the United States, and I am raising funds to provide food for 50 families in Gaza who are facing severe food insecurity as Ramadan begins in approximately ten days.

Ramadan is a sacred month observed by Muslims worldwide. It is a time of fasting from dawn to sunset, prayer, reflection, and community. Families traditionally gather each evening to break their fast with a shared meal. Due to the ongoing crisis in Gaza, many families are currently unable to afford even basic food, making this time especially difficult.

I am organizing this fundraiser in direct collaboration with my friend Majd Qudaih, a young man who lives in Gaza in a community camp. I met Majd through Upscrolled, a social app with a strong Palestinian community. Since connecting, we have been in daily communication, and through these conversations, I have witnessed both the extreme hardship families are facing and Majd’s determination to help his community despite his own challenges.

Who will be supported and where:

• 50 families in Gaza

• 40 families living in Majd Qudaih’s community camp

• 10 additional families elsewhere in Gaza whom I am personally in contact with

How the funds will be used and delivered:

The cost to feed each family is approximately $60, which covers a bag of groceries including vegetables, chicken, and sweets for the children.

Once the funds are raised, I will wire money directly to Majd Qudaih, who will purchase food locally and personally distribute grocery bags to 40 families in his camp.

For the remaining 10 families, I will wire funds directly to them so they can purchase groceries themselves based on availability and immediate need.

Fundraising goal and transparency:

The total food cost for 50 families is $3,000.

GoFundMe does not charge a platform fee, but it does apply a standard payment processing fee (approximately 2.9% plus $0.30 per donation). This is a GoFundMe processing fee, not my fee.

To ensure the full $3,000 goes directly toward food, the fundraising goal is set at $3,150 to cover processing fees.

I am not taking any portion of the donations. 100% of the funds I receive will be donated directly to families in Gaza for food.

Majd and I speak every day, and through this consistent communication, trust, and shared purpose, we have become friends. Majd is not affiliated with any organization; he is simply a young man who wants to ensure that his entire community has food during Ramadan.

This fundraiser is focused on direct, transparent aid. There are no administrative costs, and all funds raised will be used exclusively for groceries.

With Ramadan beginning in just ten days, time is critical. Every $60 feeds one family, and any amount contributed helps bring nourishment, dignity, and relief during this holy month.
