Hi everyone! We are Over The Water Choirs and we are hosting our annual Christmas charity concerts on 9th and 10th December. Our concert venue was booked weeks ago, but earlier this week (with less than a month to go) they cancelled on us. We were devastated.

Our events are raising money for Alder Hey, Liverpool Women’s NHS Trust, Great British Music Camp places for disadvantaged children AND we are a drop of point for Wirral Foodbanks, Mission Christmas Toy Appeal and gifts for young carers. We had already started selling tickets and our whole extended family of choirs has been rehearsing for weeks.

Since Monday, our team has been visiting, calling and emailing every venue on Wirral to find a venue that suits our very specific needs. And then finally a hero came along…

The team at Thornton Hall have stepped in to help and have offered their venue at the lowest possible price. They’ve been so kind and supportive and we can’t wait to hold our concerts there.

Our costs have gone up as a result of this change, but we’d already set our ticket prices. We are keen to give as much money to our chosen charities as possible so we were hoping our incredible supporters might throw a couple of quid in to help cover our unexpected costs.

We have no expectations and know money is tight. If you can’t donate, just sharing our appeal and getting people to buy a ticket will massively help!

Thank you Thornton Hall for saving our Christmas! And thanks to you for caring enough to read to this point.
