Hey everyone. As many of you know, Sarah and I moved to Kentucky after she matched for her residency. We knew the move wouldn't be easy, but we didn't anticipate certain expenses, especially those dealt to us by a steak of misfortune.

Enroute to Kentucky our primary vehicle, broke down. The repairs were extensive and time-consuming, so we opted to take out a personal loan to buy a used vehicle with the hopes of selling the excursion once it was repaired. We have put it up for sale, but have zero luck trying to sell it, even for less than what it is worth.

Sarah and I bought a home using the Physican loan. Its a 45 minute commute, but it was what we could afford. Part of our further misfortune was water damage to the ceiling and interior walls, windows that subsequently also had to be replaced, a tree outside that had to be removed as it kept damaging the roof. All of these extensive repairs have cost us thousands, outside of the 20K to move out here, almost $5k to get the excursion out of the shop.

Most tragically, Ryker's live in caretaker, who had moved with us, left with a 5-day notice. Sarah works 80 hours/week in Lexington, and I have picked up additional nighttime shifts on top of my daytime shifts to bring in any bit of extra money. Ryker unfortunately had to live with my sister-in-law while we tried to find him daycare. It took us 4 months of living without our baby for a spot in daycare to open up. We flew him back out but had to yet again put that expense on a credit card.

I hate and am ashamed to publicly ask for financial support, but we are desperate. We have budgeted everything down to the last penny, trying to sell everything that we have with no offers, re-financing what we can, transferring debt where we could, cutting back on every bill, including the heating to only be on for a couple hours a day even when its 15 degrees at night. The simple fact is that our outgoings from all these misfortunate events, in addition to no longer having our caretaker, far exceeds our income. We are grateful for whatever you can spare, as we are now trying to keep our son.
