Hello

My husband Nakia has been an instrumental part of this family for years but in the past few years he has been unable to contribute.

About 12 years ago he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and type 2 diabetes which have led to a number of other health issues. He has been diagnosed with high blood pressure, kidney cancer (which resulted in a removed kidney), stage 4 kidney disease, gout, and other illnesses. He has had several surgeries, a heart attack, cardiac arrest, been in a coma, and has had open heart surgery. He has a defibrillator attached to his heart along with a titanium pump called an lvad. He just recently endured a 3 week hospital stay that included 3 surgeries.

He is at home resting and I have become the sole breadwinner and nurse for him. This comes along with taking care of our children and working as a teacher in a pre-k classroom. He is currently required to have in antibiotics 3 times a day along with over 20 pills a day!

We are asking for the support of our community to lighten the load of medical bills, home bills, car repair, and Christmas.

No contribution is too big or too small.
