This page is being created for my son Sam and his beautiful wife Nicole to help them do something that most people take for granted; start a family.

It seems that Sam and Nicole were destined to be together for a very long time. They met when they were young and seemed to fall in and out of each others lives until about 7 years ago when they started dating and fell in love. It is no wonder they fell in love, they share so many of the same qualities and generally love living life together. They are kind and compassionate. They both share the same passion for life. It seems where one is weak the other is strong, they truly are a great couple. As their friendship grew so did their love and two years ago they were married.

As all young married couples do, they have dreams and hopes for their future but their greatest dream is to have a family.

Nicole was born with a condition called Mayer–Rokitansky–Küster–Hauser syndrome or MRKH. Which is a congenital malformation characterized by a failure of the müllerian duct to develop, resulting in a missing uterus and variable degrees of vaginal hypoplasia of its upper portion.

Sam and Nicole have started the process of IVF. Through testing they have discovered that they have lots of eggs, and lots of little swimmers. Nicole's mom has agreed to be a surrogate for them. What a tremendous privilege to be able to carry her grandchild. The reality of being able to have their own child is coming closer.

While Ontario is forging the way to help offset the cost of IVF it does not cover it all. I was saying to Sam last night the cost seems to jump up every time you go to the doctor and not by the hundreds but by the thousands. This is their reality right now but I know that there is kind, compassionate and generous people who would be willing to help. If you would be willing donate any amount to help make their dream a reality I know they would be grateful. We all would be. Thank you.
