If you don’t know already my name is Gabrielle Brown, my mama’s name is Lona Faye Loyd. My mama and 4 others were involved in a severe car accident October 5, 2025 in between 10am and 11am, on highway 6, between Oxford and pontotoc.

She has suffered from multiple injuries. She has a fractured vertebrae in her back, her nose is broken on both sides, with stitches all up her nose, her sternum was cracked, there was also a tear in her spleen. She had internal bleeding in her stomach also had air built up in her stomach as well. The worst part of it all, her whole left side of her chest was crushed causing multiple broken ribs, they were completely shattered. She has had two surgeries so far that includes, her stomach surgery to try and stop the internal bleeding before bleeding out and another where they

had to open her chest and put metal plates to help move her ribs back in place and off of her lungs so she could breathe. She was on the vent for 2, almost 3 days before finally coming off.

My mama lost one of her dearest and closest friends in that car wreck that day and she’s grieving hard on top of trying to fight this and heal, her boyfriend was also seriously injured and it hurts her not to be with him..

I had gotten the call Sunday morning while at work and had to leave and rush to the scene where my mom and 2 others were.. she was surrounded by tons of people whom was all working on her and telling her to stay with them. That same day I had less than $100 to my name and had to rush to Memphis to be with my mama. Since being down here I have had to watch my mama scream and moan in pain and cry like I’ve never seen her cry before, feeling useless has never hurt so bad.. I just want my mama to be comfortable. I also have not been able to hold my baby boy in my arms for almost 4 days now. I’ve been off work for a week now and won’t be able to work for a few more weeks and won’t be able to pay my own bills either.. That’s causing me to stress more on top of worrying about my mama and missing my baby boy. It’s hard and almost impossible for me to drive down to see my son and driving all the way back to my mama to be with her too all in the same day. I’m also no longer able to afford food or drinks or even a hotel room to stay at.. there’s just only so much “borrowing” I can do. I’m asking for your help to help me with gas to see my baby, money to get food, and be able to stay at the hotel beside the hospital to be close to my mama and I’m asking you to help my mama with her medical bills and expenses.. a prayer is the most important but we are in serious need of some financial help in this hard time, even a dollar would help us, anything and everything will be greatly appreciated and we’d be so thankful.
