Fatima AlShendi has lost her husband, her 13-year-old son, and her home amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Prior to October 7th, Fatima AlShendi was a vibrant, stay at home mom raising four beautiful children in Gaza. Now a widow, she has endured dispossession and continuous displacement that has left her unsafe and without resources. The goal is a rough estimate of the subsequent costs of rebuilding, food, education, and shelter for her and her children. However, the increasing direness of the situation means we may be underestimating her financial needs.

‎لا أعلم ماذا أقول ولكن كل ما يمكنني قوله أني فقدت زوجي وابني ومنزلي، تم حرق منزلي بالكامل..فقدت زوجي قرة عيني في تاريخ 29 من شهر ديسمبر وهو في طريقه لإحضار الطعام وعمل الخير..ولكن قذيفة الدبابة غدرت به وكان معه ابني حبيبي وفلذة كبدي..ودعت زوجي ولكن لم استطع توديع ابني لأن القذيفة نهشت جسده فلم يتبق منه شيء..بعد مرور أسبوع من هذه المصيبة حرقوا منزلي وذكرياتي.

لن أقول لكم تبرعو ولكن أقول لكم ساعدوني وساعدو أيتامي للنجاة من هذه الحرب والمجاعة التي نواجهها الآن في شمال غزة.

ساعدوني لبناء منزلي وإعادة الحياة لأيتامي.

Hello, I'm Fatima from Gaza. I don't know what to write to you. All I can say is that I lost my husband, my son, and my house, which was completely destroyed and burned to rubble. My husband, Munir AlShendi, my companion and support after Allah, loved doing good deeds and serving everyone. He risked himself and his life to meet the needs of others, providing food for his family, helping people, and securing their homes without expecting anything in return. He always took our fourteen-year-old son, who loved life and was loved by everyone for his beautiful smile, with him. He could make everyone he knew smile. He asked his father to see the sea, not knowing that it would be his last sight before leaving this life. He went and took my soul with him. I lost my husband, my son, and my home! The war turned my life into a nightmare, a nightmare from which I have not awakened yet. No shelter, no husband, no son, no security. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping me rebuild a new life and provide the basic needs for my children, who have now become orphans. It will give us hope to rebuild a new life, hoping to survive this monstrous war. Your support during this difficult time will give us hope after we have lost hope in all solutions.
