Father protecting Daughters from Violent Attack faces jail

Imagine a peaceful evening with your young family shattered by someone known to police, in a scary road range attack. This same person who has now taken it upon herself to send harmful social media posts to a child and mother!

Blair, a loving father and well-known local sports coach in the Sunshine Coast Community, faced such a nightmarish scenario.

While driving on a hot afternoon in late December 2023, just days before Christmas, Blair was heading to Coolum Beach for a swim with his two young daughters. Their lives have now been turned upside down.

As they were entering Coolum, a sudden and frightening road rage incident unfolded. The driver in front of Blair’s ute cut him off and suddenly stopped in the middle of the road, blocking Blair and his two young daughters. The driver and the passenger, exited their vehicle, the driver began smashing the family car with a large black weapon, repeatedly attacking the headlight, bonnet, and windscreen causing $4000+ in damages. In a split second decision to get his 2 young daughters out of a dangerous position, he fled the road rage attack. As you can imagine, his two young daughters were screaming and crying. While trying to comfort them and avoid oncoming traffic, the father of two tragically collided with the attacker who lunged toward the vehicle with another hard object. Blair was just trying to remove his girls from the dangerous situation.

After the accident, Blair immediately exited his vehicle to see if the attacker was okay, and then parked safely off the road to call the police and ambulance. Before the authorities arrived, friends, of the attacker appeared, causing even more fear for Blair and his daughters, one of whom was sitting in the front seat.

The attacker pictured below and in the heading photo, is well known to the police and had other serious law offences at the time of the attack, ranging from child endangerment to traffic offences.

She has also taken it upon herself to send social media comments that shocked Blair’s partner and child.

With the current evidence, the police have had to charge Blair with dangerous driving with intent to cause grievous bodily harm or death. This charge carries a potential jail term of 5-7 years and loss of license. The father of two, who has no previous criminal record and an outstanding driving history, is wholeheartedly disputing the charges. This was NOT intentional.

Now, Blair finds himself unjustly charged with serious offenses that could devastate his life and tear his family apart. He now has to convince 12 jurors he's innocent. He is not just a victim but also a loving father and a dedicated coach who has selflessly mentored children in our community for years. His daughters, traumatized by the ordeal, are slowly recovering. They have faced many ups and downs this year while Blair fights to clear his name and secure justice.

Unfortunately, Blair lives paycheck to paycheck and was unable to secure a loan for his legal fees; he is not entitled to free legal aid. All his savings have dried up. Every news outlet on the Sunshine Coast did a piece about Blair and didn’t even bother to get his side of the story.

This GoFundMe is written by a loving community member whom Blair has helped along his journey. All money raised will go directly to court fees.

Please keep in mind this is BLAIR a beloved father, partner, son, uncle, coach, employee, brother, and friend. He is loved by so many. He wouldn't hurt a fly!
