Dear friends of the Farran family,

As Israel carries out a new war of aggression on Lebanon, and especially against the people of the South, the Bekaa, and the southern suburbs of Beirut (Dahieh), hundreds of thousands of people are once again forced into displacement. Exhausted and still reeling from the 66-day war in September 2024, which never really ended as Israel continued its attacks on a daily basis even after the “cease-fire,” these people have fewer alternatives at their disposal than ever in the face of a war that seems to target their very existence.

We are therefore setting up a crowdfunding campaign to help raise money for the family, extended family, friends, and neighbors of the Farran family who have been displaced from their city Nabatieh in southern Lebanon due to Israel’s relentless bombing.

Displacement means losing the safety and comfort of one’s home, dealing with the constant uncertainty of what’s to come, and losing one’s livelihood and income. Our material help can at least offer some relief in such a time of unimaginable physical, mental, emotional, and financial distress.

Any amount will help, and sharing the campaign will also be a huge help. Thank you!

Liebe Freunde der Farran Familie,

während Israel einen neuen Angriffskrieg gegen den Libanon und insbesondere gegen die Bevölkerung im Süden, in der Bekaa-Ebene und in den südlichen Vororten von Beirut (Dahieh) führt, sind erneut hunderttausende Menschen zur Flucht gezwungen.

Die Menschen sind nach dem 66-tägigen Krieg im September 2024 immer noch müde und erschöpft, da er nie wirklich endete und Israel auch nach dem „Waffenstillstand“ täglich seine Angriffe fortsetzte. Die Geflüchteten haben angesichts des erneut begonnenen Krieges weniger Alternativen denn je.

Deshalb starten wir eine Crowdfunding-Kampagne, um Geld für die Familie, die Verwandtschaft, Freund:innen und Nachbar:innen der Familie Farran zu sammeln. Aufgrund der unerbittlichen Bombardierungen Israels wurden sie aus ihrer Stadt Nabatieh im Südlibanon vertrieben.

Vertreibung bedeutet, die Sicherheit und den Komfort des eigenen Zuhauses zu verlieren, mit der ständigen Ungewissheit über die Zukunft zu leben und seinen Lebensunterhalt zu verlieren. Unsere materielle Hilfe kann in einer Zeit unvorstellbarer physischer, psychischer, emotionaler und finanzieller Not zumindest eine gewisse Erleichterung bieten.

Cari amici della famiglia Farran,

Mentre Israele conduce una nuova guerra di aggressione in Libano e, sopra contro la popolazione del sud, della Bekaa dei quartieri a sud di Beirut (Dahieh), centinaia di migliaia di persone sono ancora una volta forzati ad abbandonare le loro abitazioni. Sfiniti e non ancora ripresi dai 66 giorni di guerra nel settembre 2024, che non è mai, in realtà, finita, con Israele che continua a d attaccare giornalmente anche dopo il “ cessate il fuoco”, queste persone hanno sempre meno mezzi a loro disposizione contro una guerra che minaccia la loro mera esistenza.

Noi abbiamo, quindi, iniziato un crowdfunding (finanziamento collettivo) per la raccolta di fondi per la famiglia che è stata costretta, ancora una volta, a lasciare la loro città, Nabatieh, nel sud del Libano, in seguito ai bombardamenti senza tregua di israele. Spostamenti forzati significano la perdita di sicurezza e del conforto della propria casa, dover affrontare un’incertezza costante su cosa succederà e la perdita delle loro entrate e mezzi di sostentamento. Il nostro aiuto materiale può, contribuire ad apportare un minimo di soccorso in un momento di sofferenza mentale, emotiva ed economica. Qualsiasi somma potrà aiutare, e così pure la condivisione di questa richiesta di aiuto.
