Farm2People Season of Giving!
Tax deductible
Farm2People is fighting hunger in Los Angeles and we need your help! To date we've served more than a half a million pounds of regeneratively grown produce to food insecure families in Los Angeles. We can do more with your support!
WHAT WE DO
Farm2People offers no-cost, fresh, whole, regeneratively-grown surplus produce from local farms to folx who need it. It's a simple solution to two complex problems: hunger and food waste!
HOW WE DO
First, we support local growers with a fair market price for produce that would otherwise be discarded due to lack of sale. We honor the grower who honors the land with pesticide-free, no-till and/or dry farming. Next, we honor the food seeker in LA with the dignity of culturally appropriate, 100% viable produce. It's a win win for both the supply and demand side of a dreamy and ethical food supply chain! And you can help us reach more growers and feed more families with a few button clicks!
"Giving is in itself exquisite joy. But in giving (t)he(y) cannot help bringing something to life in the other person, and this which is brought to life reflects back to him (them).”
― Erich Fromm, The Art of Loving
WHY WE DO
We believe that regenerative agriculture fosters a more sustainable future, so we support independent farmers modeling regenerative practices.
We believe that access to nutritious food is a human right, so we work to bring viable and appropriate food to food seekers.
We believe that one step toward creating a food sovereign region is connecting inhabitants to locally sourced food.
We believe community action, reciprocal relationships and love will be what gets us humans through a time of mounting challenges, so we actively foster partnerships with folx doing similar work.
We believe that all people deserve dignity, so we work to offer beauty and deliciousness wherever we can.
