Family under one roof in same country.

Hello,
my name is Malcolm ‘Scruff’ Lewty, I was born in 1968 in the North East of England. After my father died in 1976 & my mother committed suicide in 1981 I was already on my way to become a well educated little Punk Rocker.
My brother who died in 2007 was seminal in the first 2 independent live music venues in the North East, that being ‘The Garage’ & ‘The station’, those who know, really know.
for many years I was raised in the care of the local community homes where I grew a distaste for family values. Vowing never to get married or be the father of a child.
music and forming my own bands (The Apostles, Hellbastard, Nero Circus, Moodhoover, Dischargers, Heavy Water, sidewinder….) led me through the world to many multiple countries on many different continents, meeting likeminded individuals wherever our bands toured. But something was missing,……
leaving the North East in the early 1990’s in pursuit of further education & music (I obtained a BA HONS degree in English in the city of Bath, ) I moved to Plymouth where I pursued music. Record deal after record deal, tour after tour, album after album, but something was missing.
in the late 2000’s I met my 47 year old American wife to be, instant soulmates & instant bond. Her name is Jeanne, & she has her own story to tell. We were married in Allegheny County in Pennsylvania in march 13th 2023.
…after a few years of travelling back & forth to the usa (where I’ve spent much time touring previous to meeting my wife) I finally lawfully and legally adopted her 8 year old son, Dahlton. In Allegheny county court (children’s’ court).
I have my own family now, except, I don’t. We’re not under one roof.
Government legislation dictates a huge sum of money to be in a bank account for a certain amount of time to enable my wife & child to join me here in the UK in my own country.
every second that passes and we’re not together it feels like someone is stealing from me. It is utterly and completely heartbreaking in every sense of the word.
this is my cry to raise in excess of (currently viewable on the immigration / gov.co.uk website) £88,500. But in truth, anything helps. It’s a LOAN, not a fund raiser, the donations will be returned to the senders after a certain amount of time. Yes, this is a fundraising campaign but to reiterate, it’s a LOAN. All who would kindly make a donation, will be sent their donation back. 100%.
if we can possibly achieve this, we will be able to exist together, live and work from the same address. No more 5-6-7am bed time goodbyes (time difference between usa & uk is no fun).
no more airport sleeping spending up to 3 days travelling on the cheapest flights possible, with huge layover times & often delays. No more ESTA visa purchases limiting the valuable time we all have together, the list is huge & it goes on & on.
I’m 57 now, and I’m asking for help, so me, my wife, my son, my wife’s 2 cats (Mau & Q) & my dog (Humphrey) can attempt to be under one roof, & safely live together till death do us part.
thank you for reading.
sincerely,
Malcolm ‘Scruff’ Lewty.
