Love and Support for Baby Slayters Nicu Battle

As many of you know our baby was born May 30th. Slayter Chase was born perfectly healthy with the most adorable wavy hair or so we thought. Slayter was rushed out of his mommy's room only hours after birth. Little did we know he would not be returning. Baby Slayter has what the doctors call SVT. His heart rate spikes for no apparent reason up to the 250-280 range. They have run tons of tests but can not figure out the cause yet. Ashley was released yesterday from the hospital however Baby Slayter took a turn just before she was discharged. He is in the NICU now. They are finding it hard to find a dosage of this strong medication that works. The medicine he is on has some very dangerous side effects. It can lower his glucose levels, cause breathing issues, or dangerously lower his blood pressure. Every time this medication is adjusted we have to start the clock over for when he will be coming home. Right now we do not see an end in sight for the hospital stay in the NICU. As everyone knows the bills keep coming. Plus there are 2 other babies at home to care for. A lot of people have asked what they can do to help besides all of the prayers. So we decided to make this page. Any funds we receive will go to funding the gas back and forth to the hospital as its a 45 minute drive each way. Food while at the hospital and for the 2 little ones at home. And just general help with bills while they are unable to work at this moment. Baby Slayter needs both Mommy and Daddy to have all focus on him getting well enough to come home. The financial stress is starting to outweigh what they can handle at this point. So I am asking for any help at all from friends and family. If you can not help please do not feel bad we understand. But if you are unable to help please leave a message of hope for them. Something to help them keep pushing threw. We will be posting updates here if and when we know more. They do not have access to their phones in the NICU, so we ask to give them time and space they will reach out when they can.
