Hello Everyone. Driving home from the Bernie Fighting Oligarchy rally in Folsom, I met a woman whose husband was recently “taken” and deported to Mexico. They have an 11-year old son. She doesn’t know how she’s going to move forward without his financial support. She and her son need to travel to Mexico to decide if they want to move there to reunite with his dad. She will have to take off work, as she does have a regular full-time job. If they do move, they need help for the move and for his schooling in an English speaking school, as he doesn’t speak Spanish yet. They have a place to stay with her husband’s family. If they decide not to move to Mexico yet, they need help to travel there for vacations to visit with their husband and father. These are some of the needs, but she will be free to use these funds as needed to navigate her new life. It’s really very sad that our country’s current policies are separating families and putting people in this situation.
