Our brother in law Lance was a beautiful, loving and big-hearted soul. He was many things to many people - a dedicated husband to our sister Sytha; a loving father to 6 year old Savannah and 3 year old Sydney; a rambunctious brother in the middle of a brood of five boys, a beloved son, cousin, nephew, and grandson.
On July 27, 2020, Lance lost his struggle with mental health and took his own life. None of this makes sense.
Lance had dedicated his life to his beautiful wife and children. They were his life, his everything. He was hard working and always had a project going - most often something for his daughters. He was caring, soft-spoken, and gentle. He enjoyed spending time with his father and brothers – their laughter was contagious. He touched the lives of many.
Everyone is devastated – perhaps none more directly impacted than Sytha and the girls. The life they were all building together has been stolen. Plans for the future shattered. Lives are often built taking for granted that both parents will be there to provide for the family - and these costs are something that no family plans for especially at such a young age.
It is also little solace in a time like this, but we also hope that Lance’s loss will not be in vain. That through his death, another’s loss may be prevented. Our journey into this effort has just begun but we hope that if this page reaches someone who is struggling - please know that you are not alone, there is help, and your life has so much value.
We are hoping to raise funds to support the immediate costs to cover counselling for Sytha and the girls to help guide and support them through the trauma they have experienced. Any excess funds will be used to assist in supporting Sytha and her children both now and in the future.
We would so appreciate if you could share this page with the hope that this is met with compassion, understanding, and abundant generosity.
