Family of Baby Jasmine Needs Help

Jasmine was born 10 weeks early. Her mother contracted Covid, which weakened the placenta. This lead to Jasmine not getting the nutrients she needs and causing her to go into distress and stopped moving, leading to an emergency c-section 10 weeks before her due date. Jasmine was born on 9/9/21 and weighed only 1 lb 8 oz. Along with being born premature Jasmine has other health complications. She was born with sacral agenesis. Sacral agenesis is a congenital condition that is associated with caudal regression syndrome. This is characterized by the partial or complete absence of the sacrum and lower lumbar spine. She also is having complications with her heart, a tear in her colon that’s caused her to have to be on an ostomy bag. She has webbing on one foot and hand. Her anus formed in the wrong location. She also has leg scoliosis that causes one leg to curve into almost a U shape.

With being born 10 weeks prematurely and having many health complications, Jasmine is in the NICU and the doctors expect she will have to stay there for the next 2 months. Her mother is not able to work at the moment due to the emergency c-section and having been on bed rest before that. They could really use any help to relieve the financial burdens they are facing right now. The family would also appreciate any prayers for Jasmine and strength for the family during this time.
