Family needs support to keep roof over head Hurricane Helene

You all know I hate doing this, right? Especially when so many are in need. Death toll is at 160 from this storm so far. It's messed up and not fair. We have insurance, so the house will be taken care of. And stuff is just that... stuff. We need money to remain at the motel. We are lacking about $500 until FEMA is supposed to be here to verify we were actually affected and give us vouchers for hotel stay. We were lucky when I was a kid going through no-name. We had my aunt and family. We don't have anybody here anymore. I know we will be alright because that's just how we roll. This isn't Mom's, nor Kev's or my first rodeo. We know what this takes. And it sucks, but every hard blow this family has taken gets us ready for the next. And there's nobody else I'd want by my side rough riding it. I was told today that I just need to accept the help. That's not easy when you're used to being the one usually doing the helping. Mom is bed-bound on O2. Libby is out of school being caretaker. We just need $ to keep the motel until FEMA gets here to inspect. I know times are super rough for everyone and I hate having to do this. I just don't know what else to do.
