Family lost everything in Kingston Storage Shed fire
Donation protected
Hi everyone, if this has reached you, thank you for clicking on this link and taking the time to read.
We have created this GoFundMe page for our sister/daughter, Sarah. Sarah has lost all her possessions in the Kingston Storage King fire - https://www.couriermail.com.au/news/emergency-services/huge-industrial-fire-at-kingston-causes-emergency-declaration/news-story/76f7aa69863674629e6945cd84674d33
Sarah is a single mum to her 12yo daughter (Sophie) and 3yo son (Lachlan). Sarah is a notoriously private person, and I want to honour that as much as possible with this.
For reasons I won't go into, Sarah had to leave her home and relationship and moved into our mother's home a few months ago with her two children. Sarah and her children could only take minimal possessions, and had to place all their worldly belongings into storage. They chose the Storage King at Kingston, which burnt down the night of 27 June 2024. Everything is gone.
Sarah has had an incredibly difficult year, both with living situation, and her children requiring additional support. 2024 was finally turning a corner for Sarah, she had found a new home and was excited to move in and start fresh in a couple of weeks.
The storage shed that was lost not only included all her old belongings (clothes, toys, beds, mattresses, kitchen utensils), but new appliances and furniture she had bought in preparation for her new home.
I cannot begin to imagine what my sister is going through, nor how her 12yo daughter feels having lost everything as well.
Nothing is able to replace all the memories, photographs, baby items that Sarah and her children have lost, but we can help try and fill her house with necessities.
If you made it this far, thank you again. Any donation would be incredibly appreciated, but if you cannot donate, please share this page to as many people as you can.
Unfortunately no insurance policy was taken out.
